The news just talks about car pooling and public transport. I wonder if it is because our cities are so big, so sparse, that to commute by bike in them is just too much of a mental jump for some people.

AndrewAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36082881.post-82526351476996599252008-06-13T21:10:00.000-05:002008-06-13T21:10:00.000-05:00It's okay, we'll just give all of our money to the...It's okay, we'll just give all of our money to the middle east to buy their oil so they can come back as a financial super power and destroy the evil westerners. I just came back from Scotland ...I agree with you. I just came back from Scotland where they're just happy to have access to gas... at like 9 bucks a gallon! Access to petroleum products are not a God-given right... and these same folks are happy to pay 3 bucks for 12oz of water in a bottle.

But yeah, I too am tired of hearing all this whiney nonsense. When it's efficient for me to do so, I ride my bike... otherwise I have to drive a car... a company provided car fueled by company provided gasoline... but you don't hear me bitching!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36082881.post-58199629588674465042008-06-10T17:24:00.000-05:002008-06-10T17:24:00.000-05:00What do you expect when you build your house in th...What do you expect when you build your house in the sand? FordFasteRRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02253833923460048059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36082881.post-81714664905864975842008-06-10T08:37:00.000-05:002008-06-10T08:37:00.000-05:00You're right, people are idiots who complain about...You're right, people are idiots who complain about sh*t they don't understand... I have a V6 Accord that I hate filling up, and it "only" has a 17 gallon tank. I started riding my fixie to the bus stop for commuting to work. Since then I went from filling every week to filling every 2-3 weeks.

The only downside is the huge price jump between fillups :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36082881.post-82173628180616400352008-06-09T20:39:00.000-05:002008-06-09T20:39:00.000-05:00couldn't agree more. i've watched 3 different peop...couldn't agree more. i've watched 3 different people i work with buy new cars within the last month - i'm baffled.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
